The home movies were so realistic, the soundtrack made the entire movie SO unsettling, and to top it off when we left it was raining so hard we were going 30mph down the highway (in a 70mph zone.) I think these all set the mood for this movie genuinely disturbing me, and making me think about it every night for weeks..

It Follows gets so much more praise than it deserves. I’ve learned that the truth is r/horror fans don’t actually like scary movies. They like suspense and other elements of horror but every movie that is actually scary gets dragged while movies like Pearl and Fresh are gassed up as the greatest movies of the year. Insidious is the scariest movie of all time for me. I used to watch horror movies all the time, but when I saw Insidious, I swore off horror movies for good. It was that scary. The music and the atmosphere reminded me of 80s horror where the eerie environment is more important than the jump scares and the build up to the scares is genius. It is a disturbing but largely realistic drama though it sort of fades into a horror film until the last 25 minutes are a very good, though largely straightforward horror story. There are no traditional jump scares and the scariest things are longer, slower, and quieter than most movies would dare. The Exorcist is considered the scariest film of all time..Obviously, that is really subjective, but in a sense, very well deserved. It is terrifying and I think that it is one of the greatest horror films of all time (at least in the top five). It is also one of the greatest films of all time. It was nearly perfectly executed for its intentions ...Autumn_Shroud • 3 yr. ago. It wasn't the scariest for me, but it is definitely the most intense and fun-to-watch horror film of the past decade. It is also, imo, the second best horror remake ever right behind Carpenter's The Thing. It's one of my go-to films to re-watch and to recommend when people ask for a good recent horror.

Not actually horror, but Bob from Twin Peaks is honestly one of the creepiest faces I have ever seen. edit: True story about the actor who played Bob. The Slumber Party Massacre (1982) — Sounds absurd, but is loads of fun. Sledgehammer (1983) — Notable for having been shot on a $40k budget and entirely on video cameras. Silent Night, Deadly Night (1984) Phenomena (1985) — Every list needs at least one Argento film.Smile 2022 is surprisingly good. I just watched a showing of Smile, and while the movie isn't anything entirely new, it gets most of it right, to the tee. Visually it looks amazing, but at the same time, it has the look of every other horror film since 2010, just done really really well. Plot-wise, it's the same story here too.

There are several very objectionable scenes, but one of the worst is when she masturbates with a crucifix. It's very graphic and it's very clearly 14 year old Linda Blair simulating that act. At best, they'd age the girl up to teen years. Its really a lot of the same scene over and over. Slight spoiler but basically every scene, normal thing normal thing normal thing SOMETHING GOES WRONG, character realizes its a scary thing, spooky thing peaks. If they can handle constant jump scares and a couple pretty gorey scenes, its probably fine. I cent remember nudity. varo bank atm 1. breakermw • 21 days ago. Requiem for a Dream. God damn it.I can never take a ghost movie seriously. People find The Exorcist scary. I find it hilarious. People find The Conjuring scary. I find it lackluster and overrated. Ghosts are dumb and silly and encourages lazy writing. And apparently also encourages silly, dumb looking scenes of someone head banging while hanging from the ceiling. craigslist waverly iaosrs bloodfurychristie hugi 4. Lerolim • 2 yr. ago. Jason X (2001) going to space was funnier when MadTV did a parody before the movie actually happened .
